"Crazy in Love" is an R&B–funk song written by Beyoncé Knowles, producer Rich Harrison, rapper Jay-Z, and Eugene Record. Released as the first single from Beyoncé's debut album Dangerously in Love in the summer of 2003 (see 2003 in music), it reached number one in the United States and United Kingdom and the top ten on the majority of charts it entered across the world. The song contains a prominent horn sample from the Chi-Lites' 1970 "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)", and serves as the song's hook. "Crazy in Love" received a generally positive response from music critics; some referred to it as the best single release of 2003. Its success established Knowles as a leading solo performer following several years as a member of Destiny's Child. Many legendary recording artists such as Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and Cher have called this song one of the best female records ever.

"Switch" is a single released in 2005 by Will Smith from his album Lost & Found. The song peaked at #7 on the United States Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It reached #1 in Australia where it remained for one week and #4 in the United Kingdom. Will Smith performed the song live on the Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards 2005. There are 2 official remixes to the song-an R&B remix featuring Robin Thicke with a smoother and slower rhythm and a Reggae remix featuring Elephant Man. Both can be found on the Lost & Found album. One of the most common remix found on various file-sharing programs is the Switch (Lil Jon Remix). It is unknown if it was produced by Lil Jon.

"1 Thing" is a 2005 single by American R&B singer Amerie. The first single from Amerie's second album, Touch, and the only single from the soundtrack to the 2005 romantic comedy film Hitch, "1 Thing" peaked at number eight in the United States and number four in the United Kingdom, becoming Amerie's first top ten single and her biggest hit to date. The single was certified Platinum (200,000+ copies) by the RIAA and earned Amerie a Grammy Award nomination for "Best Female R&B Vocal Performance" in 2006. "1 Thing" was recently certified Gold by the RIAA for selling 500,000 in ring tones.
